Best in MICE revealed at World MICE Awards in Berlin

The finest MICE brands from across the globe have been revealed at the star-studded 4^th annual World MICE Awards Gala Ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.

The buoyancy of Qatar’s MICE sector was acknowledged with Doha voted ‘World’s Best MICE Destination’, Qatar Airways named ‘World’s Best MICE Airline’, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel winning ‘World’s Best MICE Hotel’, and National Museum of Qatar crowned ‘World’s Best MICE Event Venue’.

Triumphant destinations this year included Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam awarded ‘Asia’s Best MICE Destination’ and Jamaica ‘Caribbean’s Best MICE Destination’, Lisbon ‘Europe’s Best MICE Destination’ and Seattle ‘North America's Best MICE Destination’.

In the aviation sector, TAP Portugal was voted ‘Europe’s Best MICE Airline’, whilst Vietnam Airlines took the title of ‘Asia’s Best MICE Airline’. Delta Air Lines walked away with ‘North America’s Best MICE Airline’.

Other winners include and Dubai World Trade Centre (‘World’s Best Convention Centre’); Forte Village (‘World’s Best Incentive Hotel’); Vietravel (‘World’s Best MICE Organiser’); PortAventura Business & Events Convention Centre (‘Spain’s Best Convention Centre’); Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (Thailand’s Best Convention Centre’); Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre (‘Singapore’s Best Convention Centre’); Strasbourg Congress & Exhibition Centre (‘France’s Best Convention Centre’); The Convention Centre Dublin (‘Ireland’s Best Convention Centre’); ExCel London (‘Europe’s Best Convention Centre’); Durban International Convention Centre (‘Africa’s Best Convention Centre’); Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (‘Asia’s Best Convention Centre’).

The results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading MICE brands. Votes were cast by MICE industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.
